Shipping can make or break your furniture shopping experience. There is a very big difference between Humble Abode's furniture specialty carrier service and the curbside back of truck carriers used by most online furniture retailers. Most furniture is too large for UPS or FedEx so it has to be trucked lined and most other online furniture retailers use cheap curbside truckers that haul cinder blocks, barrels of oil, construction equipment, etc and you have to take the furniture off the truck out of the street. These inexpensive common carriers are not well suited for residential delivery with large semi-trucks that won't go into many residential neighborhoods. Curbside truckers usually deliver to warehouses and construction sites so customers end of waiting around for hours or days with no phone call saying they are late so you miss extra days of work and can't leave the house for hours. The worst part is that curbside carriers have a high damage rate so you end up starting all over again waiting days or weeks for another delivery with the same carrier so it can happen again.

Once your order ships we will email you the tracking number so you can see it travel. Once your furniture arrives in your local area, an appointment person will call and schedule a time for delivery. Humble Abode furniture delivery carriers specialize in two areas, fine furniture and residential delivery. We know our customers have busy lives and even a little scratch on your furniture is not acceptable. Our furniture specialty carriers will take the furniture off the truck and bring it to your home so you can receive it at your ground floor Entryway. Order Processing

All orders whether made online, by phone, or by mail will result in an email confirmation to the email address you provide. You are responsible for providing a valid email address and retrieving your email. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24-hours, please contact Humble Abode right away. This order confirmation is your receipt so please print, save, and review the important information and verify everything is accurate.

Estimated Ship Date

Within the next business day after placing your order, you will receive an email with an Estimated Ship Date of when we expect your order to ship from the warehouse to your address. Our various warehouses nationwide will then prepare your shipment and schedule the carrier for pickup. Our estimated ship date is as accurate as possible barring unforeseen inventory discrepancies, late pickups by the carrier, delays in production, etc. Please rest assured we will keep you updated regarding any unforeseen delays.

Transit Time

Standard Transit Time:
Standard transit time, the time from when the order leaves the warehouse until it is in your area, are typically 5 - 7 business days barring weather conditions, remote locations, and limited access areas. Because of the size and weight of most of our items, Humble Abode does not offer expedited shipping (due to increased damages) and standard delivery times apply. We are committed to your complete satisfaction and want your furniture delivered safe rather than damaged.

In-Home Delivery & Set-Up Transit Time:
In-home delivery & set-up transit time starts when an order is picked up from the manufacturer until it is ready to be delivered to the customer. Transit time with a specialty furniture carrier and/or in-home delivery & set-up service takes generally 7 - 14 business days. Certain remote areas may have an extended transit time of 14-21 business days, (i.e. ID, MT, NE, ND, SD, WY, mountainous and coastal regions), barring any extreme weather conditions. The extra few days transit time is to allow for the special care and safe handling given to a furniture shipment with premium service.

Appointment Deliveries

For larger furniture items and in-home delivery & set-up service, the carrier will not attempt delivery without first contacting you to schedule a delivery appointment. We do require that someone be present to inspect the packages, notate their condition, and sign for them.

After Hour, Weekend, and Holiday Deliveries

All our prices include Free Entryway Delivery to the front entrance at ground level, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Weekend, after hours, holiday, and existing furniture removal deliveries may be available at an additional cost. Please contact us if you are interested in one of these options.

Shipping Restrictions

At this time, Humble Abode does not ship outside the contiguous United States (i.e. to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico), P.O Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses. However, on select products marked with a ‘Canadian Flag’ icon, we offer shipments to Canada for an additional $124 per product, which includes shipping, duties, and taxes. Special quotes will be required for remote areas in the Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland, and Northern Regions in British Columbia (V0C, V0J, V0T), Ontario (P0L, P0T-P0V), and Quebec (G0B, J0Y, J0M). We will request a shipping quote and if there are additional charges you will have the opportunity to accept or decline with no penalty should you wish to cancel your order.  For shipments outside the contiguous United States, if you would like to contact a freight forwarder in the mainland United States, we will gladly ship your order to their facility. The freight forwarder can then make the arrangements and acquire the necessary paperwork to deliver the order to your location.

Back Ordered Items

When placing an order with Humble Abode, a pre-authorization is processed if paying by credit card, and within the next business day our purchasing department will send you an email confirmation with the expected ship date from the warehouse to your address. If you are notified that the item is on back order, this typically means that the item ordered is not in stock and available to ship. An expected ship out date will be given based on when the item is expected to be back in stock and available to ship. Due to the unpredictability of ocean travel, material availability and other variables, this is only an estimated arrival date. In some cases, an item may become available to ship sooner than expected. Upon arrival at the warehouse, the items on your order will be shipped out immediately. Once your order has shipped we forward tracking information to your email address. This tracking information will allow you to follow the progress of your order in transit if you so desire.
