The twin size adds 6 large extra deep (20") drawers and other sizes add 12 extra deep drawers in the bedroom even before adding night tables or any chest or dresser. The Sonoma Captain's Bed with Bookcase Headboard delivers abundant benefits with its practically designed, functional and attractive features. Consider it an all-in-one bedroom suite under the mattress! This wonderful bed is made from a mixture of composite woods with a laminated finish. The drawers have plywood sides and metal drawer runners. The mattress support slats are plywood. Adult Assembly is required! Detailed and easy-to-follow instructions are included.
The compartments of this 11" deep bookcase style headboard provide ample space for bedside reading material, clocks and Teddy. The Twin Headboard has 2 compartments and the Full/Queen has 3 compartments. The Full/Queen size central compartment has an adjustable shelf for added functionality.
Please note:the Sonoma Captain's Bed and Bookcase Headboard do not attach to each other. The bed is designed to rest against the headboard which is placed against the wall.

Sonoma Captain's Bed
This product arrived late and came in six boxes, it had missing parts, broken parts and missing instructions. The Humble Abode customer support team was very helpful to email the instructions right away. However, the missing and broken parts will not be resolved for another week as the manufacturer does not have the ability to ship overnight. The quality of the product is very cheap particle board with very low grade black covering. The headboard and platform do not fit together. It is two very seperate pieces. The estimated assembly time was off about five hours! This is a horrible product for the price. I've never purchased furniture online and will never do so in the future.

Sonoma Captain's Bed Review
This is a good product for the price. It is perfect for the college student that is not home much. We recently downsized so my daughter has a smaller room. She was concerned about storage, and this was the perfect solution. There were a couple of small nicks in it when it arrived but were not in a visible location. Also, the headboard trim pieces had the holes drilled on the wrong side. Fortunately, the person we had assemble this knew how to correct it. It did take about 8 hours to complete.

Prepac storage bed
While it is nice to have the 12 drawers on the bed- putting it all together was very difficult and the instructions were lacking detail and the pieces weren't stamped/stickered with any indicators. It was difficult to determine what was the top and what was the bottom. Also there was not adequate hardware included. I ended up using screws of my own. And the pieces chipped and broke as I was making the bed.

my 12 drawer platform bed
I am 54 soon to be 55. I don't like surprizes when putting things together. The instructions were great!!! If I can do it anyone can. I love my new bed, even if the cat has to climb steps to get up with me. I feel on top of the world. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

somewhat easy to assemble. looks more confusing then it really is really check the styrafoam for parts because they tend to hide parts in there. overall a great bargin fro ur money well worth buying.

Good Value
I got my bed about a month ago and didn't pay attention to how it ships or how much it weighs....overall the bed was very easy to put together and stores a lot! I had ordered a 14" foam mattress to go with this bed and if I would have realized how tall it was, I would have gine with a thinner mattress. Since I got the tall mattress, it does ccover the headboard. I would not suggest a mattress thicker than 10". I have to get on the bed with a stool since I am only 5' and the bed w/mattress is up to my waist...but I think it is still worth it!!
