Trundle Mattress Size

The bottom trundle mattress cannot be thicker than 8”. It’s a good idea to have the top mattress the same thickness as the bottom mattress so they will be level when you pop the trundle up to create a king size bed. Trundles are designed to use standard Twin size mattresses that are 39" wide x 75" long. Some trundle beds are available with a Full size top bed and a Twin trundle underneath so you would then need a Full or Double mattress 53” wide x 75” long for the top and the standard twin for the bottom.
