Runners

A runner is a narrow but long textile or fabric floor covering that is generally used in high traffic spaces. Runners are typically found in hallways, entry ways and stairways. Runner rugs prevent the floor's surface from being worn or dirtied from soiled shoes. Carpet runners also help reduced noise and provide a softer surface on which to walk. Rug runners also are useful in retaining heat in the winter and keeping a home cooler during the summer months.
