Please note: the Monterey Captain's Bed and Tall Bookcase Headboard do not attach to each other. The bed is designed to rest against the headboard which is placed against the wall.
When ordering the Full size bed, the bed is designed to hold a standard Full size mattress while the Headboard is a standard Queen size.

An excellent choice: Monterey Captain's Bed w/ Tall Bookcase Headboard
We downsized into a tiny house with an 8'x10' bedroom. With no room for a dresser, we chose this bed to meet our comfort and storage needs. Humble Abode's shipping speed is excellent. The boxes are quite heavy and need some space to organize the assembly project. My husband and I did it in a few hours using the clear instructions and hardware provided. I used a simple ratchet screwdriver and was almost as efficient as husband's drill. The drawers slide easily and hold quite a lot. I actually have more space than I need! It's a lovely bed and meets our needs quite well with one simple modification: our SleepNumber mattress needs a bit of a boost, so we added a sheet of plywood on top of the slats provided and we sleep quite comfortably. If we ever move, we will need to disassemble it, but we saved the instructions just in case.
