A side chair is defined as being a chair with seat, back and legs and no arms. Side chairs were originally made to rest against a wall when not being used. In today's homes, side dining chairs are typically found in the dining room and are used to accompany the dining table. There are a variety of furniture side chairs such as leather side chairs, wood side chairs and upholstered side chairs. Side chair furniture is also an excellent way to increase seating capabilities in the home without taking up as much space as an armchair with the added benefit of being more mobile.
