Futons

Traditionally, a futon is a Japanese mattress made with cotton batting that is used either on the floor or a frame. Today, futons refer to not only the mattress, but the frame on which the mattress sits. Futon frames come in many styles and finishes. A wood futon or metal futon is typically inexpensive and thus appeals to the budge conscious consumer and student. Multi functional futon furniture can be used for sitting and is sometimes called futon sofas. When the frame is lowered from the sitting position, the piece becomes a futon bed. Ideal for a casual lifestyle and for living arrangements with limited space, futon sofabeds are an excellent solution for maximizing space utilization.
