Console Tables

A console table is defined as a narrow table designed to sit against a wall. Console tables have typically been used in entryways or hallways as accent pieces or as convenient receptacles for keys, mail or phones. A consoles table can be a free standing cabinet used for housing a tv and/or stereo or other electronic equipment. The term sofa table is now commonly used interchangeably with furniture console tables. Sofa tables are also narrow tables that have been designed to place against the back of a sofa. Furniture sofa tables have mainly been used for displaying personal treasures, portable lighting or framed pictures. Console sofa tables are found in a variety of styles and shapes constructed from a range of materials. Wrought iron sofa tables, wood console tables, marble console tables and glass sofa tables are some of the materials used to manufacture these lovely versatile pieces of furniture.
