Description
The Langley Bed by Fashion Bed Group has all of the appeal of a classic aged iron bed from the turn of the last century. The Langley Bed posts are constructed from 1-3/4 inch heavy gauge tubing. The classic straight spindles on the headboard and footboard are attached to rails by detailed castings. Solid ball finials adorn the bed's posts. The understated finish on the Langley Bed, called Copper Penny, is a deep copper color with antique blacking over top giving the finish its unique patina. The simple beauty of the Langley Bed allows it to be equally at home in a bedroom of rustic furniture as well as fine antiques. The Langley Bed by Fashion Bed Group requires the use of a box spring in addition to a mattress.
Please note: When ordering the California King size Headboard Only, the headboard is a standard King size, shipped with adapter plates to accept a California King size bed frame. When ordering a complete bed (headboard, footboard & frame) in California King size, the headboard and footboard are a standard King size, shipped with a metal bed frame, adjustable to fit a standard California King size foundation and mattress.

Recent Purchase
I just received my Langley bed and I couldn't be more pleased! It's gorgeous and very solidly built, and of course, the price was right! The color name doesn't describe it well - it's a very dark brownish black with faint copper flecks - quite lovely. Delivery was flawless and quick via Old Dominion and Air Land Express. Overall, I rate this purchase a 5 and recommend this bed and Humble Abode to all.

Arrived Late and Pictures Deceiving
I received a confirmation email from Humble Abode, saying that the bed would ship "on or around" Jan 21, but in reality it was shipped more than a week later, on Jan 29. Luckily I was not in a hurry to receive it. However, if you would be, you might want to consider going with a company that ships promptly. Once the bed arrived late, though in good condition, I quickly learned that the headboard and the footboard are the same size. I reviewed the pictures from the website again, to see that the headboard is indeed taller. Then, looking more closely at the headboard, noticed that it required the addition of extension tubes to make it taller. Needless to say, I was disappointed, as no where on the website is this mentioned or pictured. I was under the impression that the headboard was one solid piece, and it is not. I wish I would have known this before ordering the bed. I comment on it here so that others might know before ordering themselves. Ultimately, had I known then what I know now, I would have gone with a different company and a diffferent bed altogether.
