The Carmel Wood Platform Bed by Night & Day features a unique headboard with four T shape designs and a solid wood ledge around the outside of the mattress. Constructed of Asian hardwood, an eco-friendly plantation grown wood, this solid wood platform bed is built to last. The Carmel Wood Platform Bed includes reinforced laminated wood platform slats eliminating the need for a box spring. Center supports on the Queen and King sizes assure the mattress will not sag in the middle and meet all mattress manufacturers warranty requirements. Footboard panels ship with the Carmel Wood Platform Bed when ordered with drawers. The footboard panels provide a finished look and "hide" the under bed drawers. solid wood bed
I loved the bed, very sturdy. I wanted something that would last a long time! This is a solid wood bed! The customer service was impecible. I had some delivery issues, but they were handled swiftly and items that were needed were sent out immediatly! I would definately order from Humble Abode again!!

Carmel Platform Bed
This bed turned out to be everything we wanted it to be. It arrived with no damage, though the only notice we got was an email saying it had been shipped, was left on our porch. Easy to follow instructions to assemble, easy to put together, and looks great. We put a Serta iComfort mattress on top, and to satisfy Serta's warranty, we put 3/4" MDF on the slats. There is still room for the mattress to sit slightly lower than the surround. Great value, looks great!

Carmel Platform Bed (King)
Handsome bed, easy to assemble and very well made. I'd definitely order this again. We ordered the drawers to go under it. Unless you desperately need storage, I'd skip them -- jammed my toe on them twice because they do not recess under the bed.

Carmel King Bed Frame, Dark Chocolate
Overall, excellent value compared to other frames I'd seen. We've had it now for 1wk and it looks good.
2 minor issues:
1) The staining is a bit darker that I would've liked. Ideally, I'd like to see more of the wood grain come through. The color is so dark, you don't really get a sense of the wood at all.
2) The footboard came with a small chip. When we saw it, we went back and forth on whether to send it back (it clearly happened during shipping) and went so far and putting it back in the packaging. Ultimately, we decided the defect was small and it wasn't worth the bother. Although mostly the shipper's fault (FedEx) I do think the packaging could've been better to shield the frame from the inevitable bumps during shipping.
Even with these points, overall solid construction and excellent value.
